Saved recordings are encrypted on Bababa before storage, then opened on your authorized companion device for playback.

A little consideration goes a long way. Bababa temporarily listens while it's on. Tell people when you're recording, get consent where required, and respect the moment.

Is Bababa always recording?

While it is on, Bababa holds a temporary rolling audio window. Triggering with the configured phrase or button preserves a recording. Spoken triggers can sometimes misfire, so review your saved moments. Let people know and obtain the consent required where you are.

How much of a moment can I keep?

Choose ten minutes before your trigger, five minutes before and five after, or ten minutes after. Bababa needs ten minutes of listening to build a full before-window. If your selection includes time after the trigger, saving finishes when that time has passed.

What if my chosen phrase isn't heard?

Use the physical save button. Noise, distance and speech can affect phrase recognition. Check the save-status indication rather than assuming a trigger was heard.

Is this a toy or a child-monitoring device?

Bababa is an audio recorder for adults who want to keep shared moments. It isn't a toy, location tracker, child-monitoring service or emergency device. Use and manage it responsibly.
